STUDIO LABOR ADDENDUM
Jauchem & Meeh, Inc. (J&M) agrees to provide ________________the client labor services in the effects studio under the following conditions:
1. GENERAL: All labor is provided on a per crew person per
hour fee basis. The minimum call is for four hours at straight time,
extensions of four hour calls are at overtime rates (see 7. below)
Regular calls are for 10 hours of straight time, extensions of regular
calls are at the overtime rate.
2. STUDIO MANAGER &
CREW RATES: The first crew person on the job is the studio manager,
the studio managers is included in the rental rate. The studio manager
must be on for the whole time that the studio is occupied. The second
and each subsequent crew person on the job is $45.00 per hour. Crew
is billed in full hour increments. A grace period of five minutes
into the next hour is acceptable, any portion of an hour worked beyond
the first five minutes will be billed as a full hour.
3. PYROTECHNICIANS and GUN HANDLERS: Rates As Quoted, work
rules as below.
4. CANCELLATION: Crew may be cancelled without penalty up to
12 noon the day before any call that commences after 8:00am. Night
shoots may be cancelled 24 hours before the call time without penalty.
If any call is cancelled with less than the required notice the client
agrees to pay a labor cancellation fee of a straight time call for
each crew member originally called.
5. OVERTIME: If a call continues after the 10th hour the rate
for each hour or part thereof shall be at one and one half times the
straight time rate.
6. DOUBLE TIME: If the call continues after the 12th hour then
the rate for each hour or part thereof shall be at two times the straight
time rate.
7. SIXTH &
SEVENTH DAYS: If crew is called for work six days in a row
then the sixth day shall be billed at the overtime rate for each crew
member called. If crew is called for a seventh day in a row for the
same client then that day and each subsequent day until a day off
shall be billed at the Double Time rate.
8. SHORT TURNAROUND: If any crew is called for the same client
within ten hours of the end of the previous call for the same client
then each crew member so called shall be in short turnaround. Short
turnaround will continue for each crew member until reset by ten hours
off or the end of the final call for the client, whichever is sooner.
Any crew person on short turnaround will be paid at the overtime rate.
9. MEALS and BREAKS: J&M
crew shall be entitled to a 15 minute coffee break in each five hours
of work. Meal breaks shall be one hour long unless the client provides
catering on site, with catered meals the break may be one half hour.
The client agrees to break for meals by five hours from the start
of the call. If no break is given by the end of the fifth hour then
a late meal penalty of one hour will be billed for each crew member
not broken. If no meal break is given after 7 hours from the start
of the call then a missed meal penalty of one hour plus the late hour
will be billed for each crew member not broken. At the end of the
seventh hour, or at a meal, the meal penalty clock is reset.
